Birth Class
BABS Exercise classes will help you stay fit during and after your pregnancy!
Cost: $10 a class, $36 / 4 class pass, $68 / 8 class pass
$200 Unlimited Exercise (Valid for One Year)
When you purchase a package of four, eight or unlimited
exercise classes, you get to choose the combination of prenatal and
postpartum exercise you prefer.
Prenatal Yoga

Mondays, 7:00-8:00 pm
Tuesdays, 5:30-6:30 pm
Thursdays, 5:30-6:30 pm
Fridays, 4:30-5:30pm
Saturdays, 10:00-11:00 am
The ancient art of yoga, as modified for pregnancy, is a safe, effective way to exercise and prepare for labor and birthing. In addition, yoga helps with the common complaints of pregnancy, giving you more energy and increasing your overall sense of well-being. Yoga also teaches breathing and relaxation techniques that become a natural part of your response to stress. These techniques will aid you greatly during labor and birth, and also during your new life as a mother. Classes are on-going; you may join a class at any time. No previous yoga experience is required. Each session provides an opportunity for: gentle stretching, increasing body awareness, sharing tips and ideas for coping with labor and birth, and practicing relaxation techniques. Please wear comfortable clothing. Focus is on body awareness, increasing flexibility, endurance, and learning conscious training techniques.
Yoga for Mom (& Baby)
Instructors: Jamie Jackson & Georg'ann Cattelona
Mondays, 5:30-6:30: Yoga 'Just for Mom'
Thursdays, 2:00-3:00pm: Yoga for Mom & Baby
Whether
you have your partner or friend take care of the baby for an hour on
Monday evenings or bring your little one with you on Thursday
afternoons, postpartum yoga can be a great time to relax, get some
exercise, and pay attention to your body amidst all the change a new

Belly Dancing

Wednesdays 6:30-7:30 (Starting March 17, 2010)
Bell Dancing is a great way to get exericse and get your body moving
whether you're pregnant or have just had a little one! Join Grace
MacNeil for Belly Dancing at BABS this spring! You can use your
BABS Yoga & Exercise passes or pay by the class ($10 each).
Embodied Birth Class
Instructors: Georg'ann Cattelona
$75 for Five-Week Series
Next Series starting in April 2010
This class is
described as an integrative body based learning course rooted in yoga,
dance, and other movements. Four classes will be just for
mom, while class 4 integrates partners into the movement.
After the movement portion of the class, time will be devoted to
general Q&A.
